The public transport in Barcelona is very well planned and it is the best and cheaper way to move around the city.
Bus and metro lines
A single ticket for 1 zone costs 2 € but there are many cards available with different offers (10 ticket cards, Tourist cards…) which result in a cheaper single ticket price. Find all information on fares and day and night lines on the TMB website from the Barcelona Transport Authority.

Metro service hours are from 5am to 12am; on Fridays and nights before bank holidays till 2am. On Saturdays there is metro service nonstop all night.
The night buses (Nitbus) begin to ride on 10pm and end on 4am.
To travel between Barcelona and Vila's Hostel you need to get a 2-zone ticket or card and take the FGC trains. Check the FGC website for information on fares, timetables and lines.
If you plan to travel at night, take the N62 bus. Check the website for information.

Taxi
You can hail them while riding on the streets; they have a distinctive black and yellow colour block design. At night it might get difficult to do so, so you'd better call for one. Find more information on the Metropolitan Taxi website.
